john jacob jingle hymer schmidt

so i'm training for the vegas half, and on my 6 mile run this afternoon at lunch i started singing camp songs in my head (i actually do this quite often) and it really helps me crank out those last miles when i'm feeling tired (just don't try to sing them out loud, you'll lose needed breathe). john jacob jingle hymer schmidt is my favorite, helps you keep up a good pace and keeps your mind off any fatigue. the one about the titanic is a good one too...it was sad when the great ship went down..

12 mile run on saturday! send camp songs if you've got any good ones please :)

i've been working on the railroad, i've been working on the railroad, i've been working on the railroad, (and whatever part comes next, i forget)

or the song that gandalph sings when he meets frodo at the beginning of the first LOTR: "the road goes ever on and on, over (here i like to think he says 'over the bridges of babylon', but i'm probably mistaken)"

This is the song that never ends...it just goes on and on my friends...some people starting singing it not knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever just because...this is the song that never ends!
